Has been a long time since we last posted I know, but there are times when we just have to share our joy right! So someone free here who misses posting kyu goodies can’t help but to get into action now!
For yesterday’s episode of Immortal Song 2, the contestants were to do covers from Kim Wan Sung’s hit songs. She’s the lady sitting there smiling widely at Kyu’s performance, obviously in awe hahaha! Okay, well she was smiling at everyone’s performance but she did commented on it as “Fantastic! My heart was so excited it always leaped out!” (Source: TVDaily –> Kyu’s Century)
So what song did Kyu performed to earn endless compliments from everyone? Together with TRAX’s Jungmo who plays the guitar amazingly, our ballad boy transformed successfully into a rocker and gave a stunning performance of Kim Wan Sung’s . To be honest, I’ve always been slightly doubtful of Kyu’s ability to sing rock/louder songs. I mean, his voice is so soothing it fits ballads better than anything else! But nonetheless, I underestimated him once again. Like nickestiara, I find it unbelievable that after so long, I still get surprised by his vocals. He’s like a treasure box with jewels waiting to be discovered! You’ll know what I mean after listening to his performance!

Kyu’s supportive parents were there to watch their son too! They must be even prouder of him than we are. (= I’ll be anticipating his stage next week with his sister’s accompaniment!
Tomorrow (29th Aug) will be Kyu’s final recording for Immortal Song 2 for he is leaving the show, as will almost the rest of the contestants except for Huh Gak. Though the 2nd episode was a torture for him and he has probably got exhausted/stressed preparing for each stage performance, I’m sure it has been a valuable experience for him to challenge a wider range of songs (without his suju hyungs too), at the same time getting to know other great singers better.

This really is one of the best (if not the best) Kyuhyun’s performance, isnt? I watched the whole episode..even if I were not biased, I would’ve said that Kyuhyun’s performance was…mindblowing to say the least. Ballader turns into rocker. He rocked the stage alright! And the much deserved win! I’m so proud ;~~~;
AND OMG I CANT GET OVER HIS ‘OW!’ AND THAT ONE LAST NOTE (HOLY COW CAN THAT BOY SING!! ;A;). That note was the highest I’ve heard of him belted out (save for falsettos). Hyorin, Huh Gak, and ppl’s reaction were like :OOO /MINDBLOWN/ kkk~
Plus!! He looked hot in that rocker outfit + guyliner *-*

i must admit i was as guilty as you in doubting our baby Kyu’s gift. but in the end, he surprised even me, almost 4 years of seeing and hearing him sing, and he still surprised me. i knew very well his capabilities as a singer, but his overall presence/confidence and vocals in this performance just blew me away. he is just amazing!!! during and after that performance, i swear i must have looked like his mother in the audience, just sooooo proud!!! XD

I saw this yesterday and I was shocked with how charismatic he was as a rocker
although I still feel like he’s not completely confident in singing it’s great to see him do another style that others think does not fit his voice hehehe

i totally agree! it seems like out of nowhere he pulled out this amazingly charasmatic (and might i add incredibly hot) rocker performance. i honestly never expected something from this, from a boy who seems so perfectly suited to ballad. i demand a rock performance from him in super show 4! ^^
i love everything about this performance, it’s definitely one of the best he’s ever done and he definitely deserved to win. my god he can sing so well (the high notes and the ‘come on!’ just killed me *.*) and i saw a lot of comments from non-elf that said that even though they we’re fans of suju or kyuhyun, they agreed he deserved to win and his performance was great

I have the exactly same feelings with the ladies here. After watching the performance, I was like *!@$%^&&* *unable to comprehend and form a word*!$%%* … Was it the same voice that moved me to tears with 7 Years of Love??? Was it the same mouth that performed “Too Much”, when the throat was at its worst condition?? Was it the same Kyuhyun whose songs I always listen to everyday??? How can? How can I just figure out this hidden quality??
Let us agree that we couldn’t be more proud to witness another discovery of our beloved Cho Kyuhyun. He seems to contain more talents than one person could handle. Ballader turns into rocker?? and could sing the song stunningly as ever??
What I love from this performance is that through his version, rock song becomes bearable to listen to, even addictive (even though..yeah.. that’s because Kyu sang it..). I mean, I love the parts when his voice vibrated… amazing!!
Well… I need to finish writing before I compose a novel here. After all, you guys have spoken out loud the same feelings like I do. And as always, PrinceKyu, joengmal gomawoyo for sharing. Always have a nice feeling finding out something new when I come back here.. ^_^
